Dr. Meytal Horkin Nasie
Lab Director
I am currently a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of School Counseling and Special Education at Tel Aviv University. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at Bar-Ilan University's Department of Psychology and the MOFET Institute, working with Prof. Gil Diesendruck to examine social categorization in young children. My PhD supervised by Professors Daniel Bar-Tal and Eran Halperin at Tel Aviv University, examined the role of respect and disrespect in conflicts. My central areas of interest are intergroup social cognition, social identity, social categorization, socio-psychological development in a context of conflict, political socialization, intergroup attitudes and relations. I am also interested in psychological approaches for educational interventions to improve intergroup attitudes and relations.

Lily Donald
BA Degree
Research Assistant
I am a post-baccalaureate research assistant in the Multicultural Counseling & Education Lab. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (with highest distinction) from Tulane University. Previously, I worked as a research assistant in the Tulane Child and Family Lab, examining the efficacy of a parenting group intervention. Currently, I am conducting a research on political socialization of American Jewish parents to their children, and I contributed to a literature review on Virtual Reality as an intervention tool for reducing intergroup bias and promoting positive intergroup relationships. I am enthusiastic about contributing to this lab's meaningful research and am driven by the goal of advancing the development of effective interventions that enhance the well-being of children and families.
